Sound Bowl Sessions
What do I need to know about a sound bath?

What is it? A sound bowl session, also known as a sound bath or sound healing, is a meditative experience where a practitioner uses crystal singing bowls to create soothing sounds and vibrations. Participants typically rest comfortably, sitting or lying down, while the sounds wash over them, aiming to induce deep relaxation, reduce stress, and promote a sense of calm and well-being. Ideal for those who want something different than traditional meditation. No, there is no water! You are bathed in sound!!

How do I Prepare? Sessions typically begin with a brief guided meditation or breathwork to help participants relax.

Do I have to lay down? No! Participants are invited to bring a yoga mat and pillow if they choose to lie down, or there is seating to allow participants to sit upright if they choose.

Do I have to do anything? Just relax! The experience is passive, meaning participants simply receive the sounds and vibrations rather than actively participating in a more traditional meditation. Don’t worry if you fall asleep, some people do!

What is the atmosphere like? Sessions are held in a calming environment with dim lighting and may include scents like essential oils to enhance the experience. In my space, there are no more than 7 people, so it is a small group.

What do I wear? Loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.

What do I bring? You may want to bring your own yoga mat, pillow, blanket, eye mask, or water bottle for added comfort. A small supply of some of these items will be on hand on a first come, first served basis.
