access to care for those who may be
unable to meet in an office setting.
What is tele-therapy?
Tele-therapy can be described as therapy sessions conducted through audio and video over the internet.

What equipment do I need?
To participate in tele-therapy appointments, you need one of the following devices:
  1. Desktop computer with a webcam and speakers
  2. Laptop computer with built-in webcam and speakers
  3. Tablet device with built-in webcam and speakers
  4. Smartphone (Note: To use a smartphone, you must first download Telehealth by SimplePractice—available for iOS or Android in the app store)

What about privacy?
Just like meeting in person, your tele-therapy visit will be private and confidential.

SimplePractice, LLC is the practice management software I use for Telehealth sessions. It is secure and HIPAA compliant.
Is it difficult to set up?
Not at all! You'll receive an email appointment reminder about 10 minutes before the session. You join the session by clicking a unique link embedded in the appointment reminder.

Is tele-therapy appropriate for everyone?
No. I assess and discuss with each client their specific situation, needs, and goals before determining if tele-therapy is a viable option.

Can I log in from anywhere?
I am licensed in the state of Kansas, so you will need to attest that you are physically in the state of Kansas for each tele-therapy session. Make sure that you are in a private location where you won't be interrupted during your session.
